Stephen Doyle, founder of New York-based design agency Doyle Partners, asks, “How should we promote the U.S. Green Building Council’s 2011 conference, Greenbuild Next? How about with an abridged history of civilization in a series of 2,933 still photos?” The result? A stop-frame animation film on 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of paper — the history of civilization in 3 minutes and 44 seconds in the form of a concrete poem.

ABOUT THE CREATOR

Stephen Doyle won the Cooper-Hewitt’s National Design Award for Communication in 2010 for his “ability to give words a deeper meaning.” Doyle Partners, focuses on creating work across a broad spectrum, from branding to packaging, architectural signage to site-specific installations, illustrations to animations.
